Invitation to Bid Pender County has issued an Invitation to Bid # 220511-228 for Water Treatment Chemical Ferric Sulfate and Invitation to Bid # 220511-229 Water Treatment Chemical Sodium Hydroxide. Bidders may bid on one or both chemicals.  A multi-tiered award may be made to a maximum of three (3) Vendors; a primary, secondary and tertiary Vendor for each chemical.  Any questions are due to Tom Hedrick at purchasing@pendercountync.gov by June 15th, 2022 at 5pm. Bids are due no later than June 21st, 2022 at 3pm in the Pender County Utilities front office located at PO Box 995, 605 E. Fremont St., Burgaw, NC  28425. Demolition Services, RFP # 220512-228

Pender County is seeking Proposals for a variety of demolition services in RFP # 220512-228 on multiple County owned sites, as well as remaining infrastructure at the former Long Creek School site are included. Sites may be awarded individually or all to one vendor.  All work will be expected to be completed in June 2022.

A site visit has been scheduled for May 19th at 1pm at the former Long Creek School site, Project #1.  Attendance at the site visit is not mandatory but is strongly encouraged.  Any questions on this project are due to Trisha Newton at purchasing@pendercountync.gov and have been extended to May 20, 2022, at 9am.  Answers will be provided the same day.  Sealed bids are due no later than May 23, 2022 at 2pm in the Pender County Finance Office, located at 805 S. Walker St., Burgaw, NC  28425. Vendors are reminded to check back periodically for possible Addenda.

The County reserves the right to reject any or all proposals for which, in the County’s opinion, is in the best overall interest of the County and to waive minor irregularities in the evaluation process.  County also reserves the right to further negotiate minor modifications with the successful proposer upon completion of the evaluation process prior to the execution of a final contract.

 

Scope of Work:

The Proposer (also referred to as the “Contractor”) shall provide all materials, tools, machinery, labor, and supervision necessary for the demolition work of buildings and accessory structures. Demolition work shall include excavation of any footing foundations and removal of all debris from the demolition site.  Additionally, the Contractor must properly fill and seal all damaged/exposed wells.*

1998 International 3800 BUS, 7.6L L6 DIESEL. Bus will start with a boost. Bus will not build up air pressure so it will have to be towed. Maintained every 7500 miles. Removed from service 4/1/2022. Sealed Bids for the construction of the Pender Commerce Park Water & Sewer Main Extension Project will be received, by Pender County at 605 E. Fremont Street, Burgaw, NC on June 1, 2022, until 10:00 a.m. local time, at which time the Bids received will be “publicly” opened and read aloud.

PRE-BID CONFERENCE

A virtual pre-bid conference will be held at 10:00 AM local time on May 17, 2022.  The pre-bid conference will be conducted via a web-based meeting utilizing Microsoft Teams.  Interested parties wishing to join the web-based pre-bid conference may do so by sending an email to the following email address jfitzsimmons@mckimcreed.com  no later than May 6, 2022, at 2:00 PM local time.  Note that a physical meeting will not be held for the pre-bid conference and only the web-based meeting will be available to interested parties.

Statement of Qualifications sought for Design-Build Services of Pender County Health and Human Services Facility, Request for Qualifications # 220318-224

Pender County Health and Human Services is soliciting Statements of Qualifications (SOQs) from qualified Design-Build teams interested in providing professional design and construction services for construction of a multi-story Health and Human Services Facility in the Burgaw Township of Pender County.  The County is preceding this project with a qualification process (this RFQ) to determine and approve interested and competent Design-Build teams.  This project shall have a substantial completion date no later than July 1, 2025.  Click here to view RFQ # 220318-224.  You are encouraged to email purchasing@pendercountync.gov with an intent to provide a SOQ so that you will be added to a mailing list for updates.  Any questions or clarifications needed should also be submitted in writing to purchasing@pendercountync.gov by April 15th, 2022 at 12pm.  The deadline for SOQs is May 6th, 2022 at 12pm.  Qualification documents shall be sent to 805 S.
