What is a Strategic Plan?
A Strategic Plan is a deliberate effort to produce decisions and actions that shape and guide what an organization is, what it does, and why it does it. The Plan creates a guide for decision-making and resource allocation and helps define where an organization wants to be while effectively managing that change through identified strategies and actions.
What did our process look like?
Our Strategic Planning process began in January 2025. The process involved 3 public input periods, including surveys and public input meetings, and more than 75 individuals involved in workgroups to determine strategies and actions. The plan was adopted by the Board of County Commissioners in February 2026.
