The Family Planning Program offers a wide range of preventive care that is critical to women's reproductive and sexual health. Staff will provide an annual physical examination, Pap test, all necessary and appropriate laboratory testing, complemented with professional education on pregnancy prevention through a variety of birth control methods. All women of childbearing age are eligible for family planning services. Service fees are based on the level of family income, and pregnancy tests are available for a nominal fee.

Pender County Health Department offers a Sliding Fee Scale Discount based on family size and income. Please call 910-259-1230 for a Sliding Fee Scale Application. No one will be denied services based on inability to pay.
