Disaster Relief Funding Available for Pender County Farmers

PENDER COUNTY, N.C. – The North Carolina Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services announced that applications are now open for disaster relief funding for farmers who suffered crop and livestock losses in 2024.

Pender County farmers may be eligible for assistance if they experienced losses due to drought or damage from Hurricane Debby, which moved through the area in July.

The deadline to apply is May 4. Applications and additional details are available at www.ncagr.gov/agdisaster.
