PENDER COUNTY, N.C. – Pender County property owners are reminded that 2024 property taxes must be paid on or before Monday, Jan. 6, 2025, to avoid late fees.
If you have not received your tax bill, contact the Pender County Tax Office to verify your mailing address and determine the amount due.
Starting Jan. 7, 2025, unpaid taxes will incur interest at a rate of 2% for the first month and an additional 0.75% each month thereafter until the balance is paid, in accordance with North Carolina law.
Payment Options
- In Person: Pay at the Tax Office, located at 300 E. Fremont St., Burgaw, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- By Mail: Send payments to P.O. Box 1047, Burgaw, NC 28425. Be sure your envelope is postmarked by Jan. 6, 2025, to avoid penalties.
- Online: Visit pendercountync.gov, select Online Services, and click Pay Your Tax Bill.
Property owners unsure of their payment status can check their account online or call the Tax Office at 910-259-1222 for assistance.

- Payments must be submitted or postmarked by Jan. 6, 2025, to avoid penalties. Payments postmarked on or after Jan. 7, 2025, will be considered late and subject to a 2% fee.
