Pender County government offices will resume regular operating hours on Wednesday, Feb. 4, as road conditions throughout the county continue to improve.
County solid waste facilities will also return to normal operations Wednesday. Convenience centers will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., and the Transfer Station will operate from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
While warmer temperatures and sunshine have significantly improved travel conditions, some shaded areas near public buildings may still contain patches of ice. Visitors are asked to exercise caution and use front entrances for building access.
County staff remain engaged in assessing and clearing remaining impacted areas to ensure a safe environment for the public.
