Pender County Launches November Food Drive to Support Local Families

Pender County is hosting a community-wide food drive throughout November to support local food pantries and families in need. All donations collected will stay within Pender County to help ensure that residents have access to nutritious meals during the holiday season.

Community members are encouraged to drop off nonperishable food items at two convenient locations:

  • Pender County Department of Social Services - 810 S. Walker St., Burgaw
  • Hampstead Annex - 15060 U.S. Highway 17, Hampstead
  • Pender County Library, Burgaw - 103 S Cowan St., Burgaw, NC 2842
  • Pender County Library, Hampstead - 75 Library Dr., Hampstead, NC 28443
  • Seven Oaks Apartments - 205 Progress Dr Ext, Burgaw, NC 28425  - 11/3 and 11/10 (5pm - 7pm), Wednesday’s, 11/5 and 11/12 (5pm - 7pm), Saturday, 11/15 (10am - 12pm) 

Suggested donations include unexpired canned goods such as beans and corn, pasta and pasta sauce, hot and cold cereals, peanut butter, and jelly.

The Pender County Food Drive offers residents an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in their community. Every contribution, large or small, helps ensure that local families can share healthy and fulfilling meals this holiday season.
