- Press 1 for Inspection requests. Speak clearly with your name, telephone number, permit number, site address, type of inspection needed and date of requested inspection.

- Press 2 to speak to an agent.
All inspections called in prior to 2:00 pm will be scheduled for the following business day. All requests received after 2:00 pm will be scheduled for the next business day.
Permit submittal can also be emailed to us.
Note: Permits are issued until 4 pm daily.
Applications and Forms
Most applications can be completed and submitted online through the Pender Online Resource Tool (PORT), an online portal that allows citizens of Pender County to apply for permits, see the status of current permits, and even pay fees. To use the PORT, citizens must create a user profile and register their account with a valid email address.
All commercial and residential applications are available upon request at the Permitting Departments in the Hampstead and Burgaw locations.
Important Notice:
Before the permitting department can process your application, you must submit Environmental health water/ sewer intention documentation. For example, if you're applying for a construction permit, ensure that your environmental health water/ sewer intention letter is provided along with your permitting application
