RESCHEDULE: Pender County Utilities Schedules Water Outage for Edens Lane in Hampstead

Pender County Utilities (PCU) has rescheduled a water outage for Edens Lane in Hampstead to Thursday, May 16, 2024, 10:00 a.m. Approximately ten customers will be affected by this outage, which is expected to last approximately 4-6 hours. The outage is to make necessary repairs to the water main.

Reschedule due to the significant weather forecast.

PCU will restore water as quickly as possible. Once the water is restored, a precautionary boil water advisory will be issued for the affected customers in the area until further notice.

For your safety, it is recommended that customers in this area should boil all water used for human consumption, including drinking, making ice, brushing teeth, washing dishes, and food preparation. It is not necessary to boil water for bathing. This advisory will be in effect for 24 to 48 hours. PCU will notify customers when the advisory is lifted, ensuring your continued safety and well-being.
