2022 Tax Notice of Advertisement

The 2022 advertisement notices have been mailed. They include only the 2022 tax amounts due and interest as of Feb. 1, 2024.

  1. If you have already made payment in full based on your 2023 tax bill total and do not see that payment posted yet, please wait a week or two and check back with the tax office to verify the payment was made and not the 2022 taxes remain due as interest between the time of billing and payment may have accrued. As the 2023 tax bills included the prior year’s amounts, if you paid the total due, you would have paid the 2022 amount, except for any accrued interest between that time.
  2. If you receive an advertisement notice for the year 2022, you may owe taxes for other years as well (such as 2019, 2020, etc.). The advertisement notice will only mention the tax amount due for the year 2022. Therefore, if you make a payment based solely on the amount mentioned in the notice, your account may still have a delinquent amount from a previous year. To avoid this, it is important that you confirm with the tax office that your account is fully paid for all years.
  3. If you need to check your account, simply visit Online Services Pay Your Tax Bill. There, you will find the latest information on your Pender County taxes.
  4. The tax office is working hard every day to enter all the payments into the system. Currently, they are posting USPS postmarked payments with early January dates (1/3-1/5). By week’s end, they will have all 1/5 and prior mail posted, and they will begin working on the 1/6 and later mail (postmarked by USPS). For anything paid by credit card, they are 1-2 days out, which is typical on a regular schedule as we don’t receive the payments until the day after they are made.

The deadline for payment before the advertisement is February 28th. Mail must be in the office on or before that date to NOT be advertised in the Pender Post & Voice on Mar. 7, 2024.
