Overview
The board is responsible for administrative quality improvement activities, reviewing capital and operating budgets and long-range plans and making recommendations with respect thereto; for reviewing and commenting on proposals to add or delete programs and services offered by Novant; and monitoring the performance of Novant in the operation of Pender Memorial Hospital.
Mission
Pender Memorial Hospital Inc.’s mission is to provide Pender County residents and surrounding communities with a quality hospital and healthcare services and local access to physicians, specialists, and other providers.
Requirements
Candidates should have general or significant knowledge of business or not-for-profit administration and management, organizational structure and leadership, or healthcare. Candidates should have experience in reviewing complex financial statements and budgets. Candidates should have experience reviewing long-range plans, legal documents, or credentialing requirements. General understanding of programs and services offered in healthcare. An ability to analyze financial statements, plans, credentials, or legal documents.
Candidates must be of good moral character and at least 21 years of age.
