Water system pressure advisory for Peanut Road is rescinded

HAMPSTEAD – Pender County Utilities rescinded the Jan. 31 system pressure advisory issued to its water customers along Peanut Road between address 88 and 686 Peanut Road.

“Bacteriological analysis results of drinking water samples collected after completion of the water system repair show no coliform bacteria present,” said James Proctor, PCU water and sewer superintendent. “The system has resumed normal operations and you may use the water without boiling.”
