Don’t put your debris under power lines

PENDER COUNTY – Pender County’s contractor is picking up debris throughout the county.

Here are important reminders regarding debris:

  • Separate the debris by category – vegetative debris, construction debris, and white goods;
  • Do not place debris under power lines.
  • Debris should not block visibility at roadways.
  • Cut tree trunks to lengths in 4-ft. lengths.

Debris will be picked up in Pender County along state highways and paved roads in major subdivisions. The equipment will not traverse dirt or unpaved roads. The contractor will not serve gated communities.

Pender County Emergency Management will post updates on the Facebook page at facebook.com/penderem and on the website http://www.penderem.com.
